Born into a musical family, Babette was trained as a classical pianist and cellist from a very young age. She was taught by Heidi Hendrickx, Levente Kende and Nicolas Callot throughout the years.
Babette started her conservatory studies at age 17 at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp where she studied with Sergei Edelman and Eliane Rodrigues. Both bachelor and master were completed with great distinction.
Throughout the years, Babette became laureate of multiple national piano competitions with among them the Steinway Competition where she placed second. She played on multiple Festivals like Arte Amanti Festival and PianoFest, and participated in several masterclasses with among them Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, Mi-Joo Lee, Bernd Goetzke, Daniel Blumenthal, and many others.
At age 17 she played the first Beethoven concerto with orchestra as part of her high school graduation-recital.
Since 2024 Babette is artist in residence of SWUK vzw.
