Babette Craens is a Belgian classical pianist whose artistic practice centers on creating concept-driven concertprograms.
She designs carefully curated recital programs in which music from different periods enters into dialogue through colour, imagination and attentive listening.
As a laureate of several national competitions, including the Steinway Competition, she is known for her poetic playing, beautiful touch and exceptional sensitivity to nuance.
Her artistic practice continues to be shaped by a profound love for French Impressionism, Belgian repertoire and contemporary music — including close collaborations with living composers.
Performing on both modern and historical pianos, she explores how sound, colour and imagination can reshape the listening experience.
